Increase Shown In Attendance In This State.
The total attendance of boys in trade schools in New Jersey for the year of 1926-27 was 3,068, or an increase of 500 over the previous school year, according to a recent report. The greatest enrollment was in the carpentry course with a total of 971. Plumbing came next with an enrollment of 673, followed by electrical workers with 670 boys taking this course. The biggest enrollment in the state was in Paterson, where 561 boys were taking one of the many courses offered. Newark was second with a total enrollment of 477 and Atlantic City was third with 338.
