A Wilkesbarre (Pa.) dispatch states that a young man named Wm. J. Garrison was married Wednesday in that place to Miss Mary Bogert, aged 17 years. At the conclusion of the ceremony the groom kissed his bride, and a moment later declared he was "inspired by God," and proceeded to act in a most violent manner, tearing off his clothes and rushing through the village in a nude condition. He was finally captured, bound with a rope and placed in jail, where he is now a raving maniac. The young bride is prostrated with grief at the strange effect the marriage has had upon her husband.
