RHODE ISLAND.

We have a great notion to raise a 'tuxki' about Rhode Island. We would, but that the buzza system is getting rather into bad odor. Roger Williams's State well deserves it, however, for her fidelity to the Whig cause, when others, having more vital interests at stake, are proving recreant to their duty—'faithful among the faithless.'

On the 13th inst. Nehemiah R. Knight, the Whig candidate, was re-elected Senator of the United States, for six years from the 4th of March next. On the first ballot the vote stood thus: For N. R. Knight 41; for Elisha R. Potter, the Jackson candidate 38.
