Full Text

The Camden Herald. James A. Jones retires from the editorship of this paper, and is succeeded by James E. Whyte and Adam Clark as editors and proprietors.—Mr. Jones retires on account of ill health, and writes a very graceful valedictory.—We part with him with regret, though in days gone by we have taken and given some hard blows. We hope that he may be able to regain sound physical and political health.

Messrs. Whyte and Clark say that in politics they are independent. Neither whig or know nothing, for they truly say, there are no such organizations. Nor national democrats, for that they say is corrupt. No whig—no American—no democrat—no—nothing. However, we extend to them the courtesies of the press and turn them over to the Eagle.
