According to the latest accounts in our Court Gazette, his majesty our king, on the 30th May, accompanied by general Cavagnac and other persons, went from Montelcone to Tropea. The head quarters were to be removed to Nicastro.

At Montelcone, the sovereign together with the generals Grenier and Cavignac, had been employed in making arrangements for the better supply of the troops with provisions, so that the inhabitants might not suffer. Considerable transports of provisions from Naples have already arrived at Pizzo, and other parts of Calabria.

His majesty has expressed himself extremely well satisfied with the disposition and conduct of the inhabitants of Calabria.
