HONOLULU, Dec. 27. (UP)—The Bruins of U. C. L. A. were heavy favorites today to win the "Pineapple Bowl" game Jan. 2 on the strength of a 46-0 defeat handed to the Honolulu Townies.

The Townies, composed of former high school and college players took their walloping before 12,000 fans who saw the flashy Negro halfback, Kenny Washington, at his best.

Washington scored three of his team's touchdowns.

Fullback Eddie Baida, tackle Zarubica, center Johnny Ryland and halfback Izzie Cantor added the others.

The Bruins went into their touchdown parade shortly after the opening kickoff. Baida went over from the one yard line after making runs of 21 and 25 yards each.

Touchdowns were scored in every quarter with the most spectacular coming soon after the second half began.

Febenbok went through tackle for 13 yards and when he was trapped lateraled to Ryland who crossed the goal.
