Full Text

A Literary Kleptomaniac.

George Williams, one of the most unconcerned men that ever stood inside a prisoner's dock, in Justice Caldwell's court yesterday waived a preliminary examination on the charge of burglarizing the South school and was bound over to the superior court for trial. In default of $750 bonds he was committed to the county jail. Officer Henry Surry who arrested Williams, found nine or ten school books on his person, and the contents, certain marks and other points tending to prove the ownership of the books, were given to the justice by schoolboys who had had no opportunity to inspect them. Williams is an old offender and seems to have a mania for literature.
