Business Men, Police Officers Quizzed During Inquiry Into Embezzlement:

Mrs. Little Files Annulment Suit

Four witnesses went before the grand jury Monday as jurors dug deeper into a case involving more than $12,000 missing from the city of El Centro water department.

before noon Mrs. Lillian Richards Little, former water clerk now accused of embezzlement, entered the jury room. Unofficial sources said the Stuarts probably were quizzed regarding an old loan from Mrs. Little. They are in the grocery business. George appeared at the sheriff's office the night Mrs. Little surrendered on another bail bond.

Sharp probably questioned regarding his part in the complicated case that came to light shortly after Sheriff John Little's many-hued was still in the county jail Monday. son, Ariz. A previous complaint charged Little married before his divorce decree was final. Sheriff Ware and Deputy District Attorney Ralph French left El Centro Monday for Eugene, Ore to investigate holdings of the couple on a ranch near there. The city of El Centro has already taken deed to the ranch but the officers planned to inquire into how much total expenditure was made on the place in an effort to account for all the missing city funds.
