Bandit Takes $75 From Woman In Downtown Area

A 21-year-old woman was robbed of $75 at 1 a.m. Monday in front of 10 Forsyth St. NW by an unidentified gun-toting man, police reported.

The woman, identified as Jessie Mae Alexander of 26 Hilliard St. Apt. 2, said she had been to a bank on Auburn Avenue and was on her way to town when she first noticed the man following her.

When she walked in front of 10 Forsyth she said the man pushed her off the sidewalk and thrust a snub nose revolver in her side and demanded her money. She said she gave him $75 and he fled south on Forsyth. The robber had not been caught late Monday.
