Alaska Indian Youth Charged With Rape Of 6-Year-Old Girl

EUREKA, Calif., (AP)--A young Alaska Indian who has lost one lung to tuberculosis pleaded guilty here Tuesday to the kidnaping and rape of a 6-year-old girl.

He is John T. McKinley, 22, a native of Hoonah, Alaska.

The victim of his Sunday afternoon attack on an isolated strip of ocean beach 18 miles north of here was Vicki Guidici of Clam Beach, a small seaside settlement.

Suffering from shock and hysteria, she was taken to a hospital where her condition was said yesterday to be satisfactory.

McKinley, who hasn't worked since he came here two years ago from Juneau, was captured late Sunday after a manhunt in which some 200 persons took part.
