SMALL BOY GOT
A KEG OF BEER

An eight-year-old boy, a keg of beer and J. G. Bregalia, the proprietor of a Kakaako saloon, were the exhibits in a police court case yesterday. The saloonkeeper had sold the keg to the little boy, it is claimed, and the Anti-Saloon League had been the means of assembling the trio before Judge Whitney.

Beyond making their formal greetings to the court, none of the principals in this case had anything to do yesterday, the case being continued until Thursday next.

There were plenty of other cases continued or dropped yesterday, only one case out of the sixteen called being concluded. That was the charge of drunkenness against Paulo Aligea, who was fined the usual three and costs.

A charge of assault against Blanche Martin, the lady who figured in a habeas corpus case in the Circuit Court last week, owing to her arrest on a Jane Doe warrant, was stricken off the calendar. A charge of malicious injury against M. Marks was similarly treated, the complainant asking that the accused be given a calling down only.

Four of the frequenters of Joe Clark's Palama joint, who have been in court from time to time recently for an alleged assault on Sarah Kia, had their cases nol-prossed. L. Renaut and L. Leonze, who have also become familiar figures in Judge Whitney's hall of justice, were told to come back again on the 13th, when they will be given a trial and an opportunity of explaining why they are so prominent in red-light circles.

On the same day Kajuta will be in the dock for an assault with a dangerous weapon, which he is supposed to have made. On the following day the cases of five Chinamen, accused of opium selling, will be considered.
