Alaskan Makes New Move In Adoption of Girl

MISSOULA, Mont., Dec. 14.—John Warren McCord, Alaskan mining man and oil promoter, has left here and announced intentions of taking Victoria Deschamps, 14 years of age, out of a high school in San Francisco and placing her in a convent in California for special training in music and then adopting her.

McCord said the parents, with whom he conferred on Saturday, neither forbade nor agreed to this plan but Mrs. Deschamps said the adoption plans would be "side-tracked for the present but maybe pushed to completion after about a year."
