MINES CRIPPLED BY BOYS' STRIKE

EIGHT HUNDRED WILL GO OUT AND ACTION MAY EFFECT WHOLE SCRANTON REGION.

SCRANTON, July 26 -Mine boys to the number of 800 from six collieries of the Delaware and Hudson Railroad Company decided late last night to go on strike Thursday morning. It will cripple the collieries so that they will be forced to shut down, throwing 2,500 men out of employment, and may eventually lead to a general strike in all of the collieries operated by that company in this vicinity, numbering twenty eight.

The boys were cut from $1.51 and $1.25 to $1.40 and $1.05 without notice. They now want $1.61 and $1.35.
