Buhl-Kinney Herald: Swan Dahl who has lived about Buhl for a number of years was badly burned about the lower part of his body early Sunday morning while sleeping in the Folsom cottage at Clear Lake. He had retired for the night after fixing the fire in a stove and although no one knows just how the accident happened it is believed that a spark from the stove had passed through an opening in the door and fell on the bed setting fire to the bedding. Greg Murphy, who was at the cottage for the night, was awakened by the fire and found Swan on the floor where he had fallen while trying to escape from the fire, having been overcome by smoke. Greg took him outside and placed him in snow and went back to put out the fire that had caught the floor and door of the room. Mr. Folsom then went for help and when he reached Buhl Ed Gundy went up in his car and brought the unfortunate man to a hospital where it was found he was badly burned and it is thought that he may lose a leg because of the accident.
