SEATTLE, (AP)—An armed bandit held Mr. and Mrs. Edward Sander and their baby daughter prisoners in their home while his companions looted a safe in the downtown office of Sander's fountain lunches.
The loss was estimated at $1,000.
The family was confronted by the bandits about 10:45 p.m. and herded into a back bedroom of their home at gunpoint.
Sander told police the men said he and his wife would not be hurt if they gave the combination to a safe at the central office for the fountain lunch chain.
One of the bandits was left on guard when the others went to the store.
