The following file of American officers, prisoners of war, on board the Stately, No. 408. Transport, lying at Quebec, made their escape from her on the 10th of this month, by cutting the long boat adrift from her stern: Jedidiah Hunt, captain, native of Lebanon, (Conn.) Nathaniel Case, capt. native of Massachusetts; John J. Fontaine, lieutenant, native of Virginia; James Gillis, cornet of dragoons, native of Massachusetts; and Joseph Clark, ensign, native of Connecticut.
