National Negro Trade Week
There has been announced from the office of the National Negro Business League the approaching date of Negro Trade Week with its slogan, "Buy something from a Negro store". Thus far it appears that no preparation has been made for the keeping of this week in Atlanta, but we have sufficient business interests and organizations to see that Trade Week is marked by business activity among us as a group.
We are not only in favor of keeping up this trade week, but a center as large as Atlanta ought to have some sort of annual trade exhibition in which there should be a get-together of the various types of business and a general advertising of the things we are doing.
We believe such an exhibition, if pushed to its possible conclusion, would help us much in doing our share to make Atlanta a better place in which to live.
We have among us in Atlanta several groups and several individuals who are capable of promoting such an enterprise as we describe and it would be greatly to their credit and that of the city if this were done at an early date.
