YESTERDAY, his Royal Highness the Duke of Cumberland was at court, and was complimented by the Nobility on the occasion; his Royal Highness had a party of the corps of guards to attend him to and from court.
The Dukes of Devonshire and Portland, the Marquis of Rockingham, the Earl of Scarborough, &c. were at court yesterday.
On Wednesday, as the Prince of Wales and Bishop of Osnaburg were riding in St. James's Park, viewing the encampment, the Duke of Cumberland was in his carriage there for the same purpose. On seeing each other, the two Princes pulled off their hats; the Duke threw open the door of his carriage, not waiting for a servant, and ran eagerly to the two Princes, and embraced them publicly. There appeared visibly the strongest marks of happiness in each of their countenances.
The King keeps open house at the Queen's Palace, whilst the camps keep their situations in St. James's and Hyde Parks, and a most sumptuous table is covered every day at four o'clock, which is open to the commissioned officers, of what rank soever.
