By express from North Carolina, we learn that general Lee had written from Charlestown, to brigadier Moore, informing him that general Clinton was preparing to remove his forces from that quarter, and that part of the transports, with some ships of force, had actually gone over the bar. A deserter from the Bristol said, that the seamen thought they were bound for New York; but as it was reported at that place that a detachment had been sent by Howe to Clinton, there is some reason to suspect they are destined for North Carolina or Virginia.
