CONOWINGO DAM-LAST OPENING FILLED WITH CONCRETE
On Friday the last opening was closed by the contractors with concrete, in the great dam across the Susquehanna river at Conowingo.
There is much more work yet to be done on the dam in building each section to the height it will be when completed, and also in the construction of the immense power plant on the Harford County side of the river.
The roadway which will be on top of the dam breast has been completed about half way across from Cecil county side, and work is being pushed on the connecting bridge that spans the railroad on this side.
