Session
The 63rd Annual session of the Union Missionary Baptist Association and Women convention, came to a close on Sunday afternoon, Aug. 2, with the moderator, Rev. A. E. Hagins bringing the closing sermon, at the First A. B. Church of East Savannah, Rev. L. W. Stevens, pastor.
On Wednesday night, July 29, 1959. there were 800 present to witness the pre-association musical program which was broadcast over WSOK broadcasting station from the main auditorium of the church in East Savannah. The moderator, Rev. A. E. Hagins, wishes to thank the public and his co-workers for the splendid co-operation that was given to help make the program a success.
The next session will be held at the St. Paul Baptist Church, Waters Avenue. Savannah, Ga. A. E. Hagins, pastor, beginning on Wednesday night before the first Sunday in August, 1960.
Officers elected: Moderator. Rev. A. E. Hagins; Vice Moderators, Rev. J. E. Bailey. Rev. G. W. Carter and Rev. Freddie Bonds; Clerk. Dea. Joseph Brown; Treasurer, Dea. Phillip Garvin; Missionary, Rev. Peter Holmes; Field Missionary. Rev. L. W. Wilson.
