DuBuque, July 8.-The anti-amendment people of this city have now what is called a black list containing names of all merchants and business men who voted for the amendment. Merchants thus spotted are to suffer the loss of all the patronage of the anti-amendment people, such as brewers, saloon-keepers, etc. Already boycotting has commenced, and it is said that the proprietors of two large cracker factories here who voted for the amendment are on the black list and that a large amount of goods purchased before election by saloon keepers from them have been sent back. In view of this fact the amendment club met to-day and passed a resolution to the effect that if the anti-amendment people show a continuance of the boycotting system they wish to withdraw all mutual patronage. It is said the amendment club will publish the names of Dubuque merchants who should be patronized by friends of prohibition all over the State. Excitement runs high.
