WORCESTER, June 23.

On Saturday last, five or six young lads at Templeton, who were playing together, discovered a woodpecker's nest in an old large stump of a tree; the nest was above their reach, and after making several efforts to gain it, they proposed pushing the stump over, which being suddenly attempted by some, the others were desired to get out of its reach, but before they could effect their escape it fell, and instantly killed one John Foster, (son of Mr. John Foster, of Templeton, west parish) and lightly wounded another of his sons, a lad of about six years of age.
