Bessemer Pupils, Chaperons Tour Eastern Cities

A group of 24 students and eight adults including chaperons supervisor arrived in Atlanta Saturday morning by special bus from Bessemer, Ala. to make their first stop in a tour of several cities.

While there they visited Cleo's College, Booker T. Washington high school, and other points.

Students and faculty members in the party represented the Carver and Muscoda high schools; and the Du abat Westfield and Wenonah high schools, all of the Bessemer, Ala. area.

In addition to Atlanta, cities to be visited included Chattanooga, Washington, D. C. and other Eastern cities including New York.

Mrs. Eliza Perry, public relations representative for the group, told the Atlanta Daily World that the group expects to return to their homes by March 30. Mr. Bernice Hatcher Bedell and Professor James Benn are among the chaperons for the students.
