PHILADELPHIA, October 17.

A letter from Paris dated Aug. 23, to a gentleman in this city, says--That a copy of the treaty with Great Britain, has been published there, and that it had not produced any remarks from the French government or French citizens.--That an armistice was that day announced in the papers between France and the Italian States.--That Boissy d'Anglas was considered as the most popular man in France. That many of the necessary articles of life are cheaper there than in Philadelphia, &c. &c.
