The Madison County Home Demonstration Council at the meeting in the court house Tuesday of last week, devoted its time to making plans for Achievement Day program, April 25, under the direction of Mrs. Frank Cornwell, the president.

Achievement Day climaxes the year's activities of the Council and this year the meeting and program will be in the London Methodist Church. Exhibits are made to show each project given the past year; a luncheon will be served at noon and a fine program is being planned for the day. New counselors are welcomed and those who have served two years on the council will become Alumnae Council members.

Mrs. John Stegall, chairman of the nominating committee presented the following officers for the coming year: Mrs. Ruth Wilson, president; Mrs. Edwin Vallery, vice president; Mrs. Robert Kennedy, secretary and Mrs. J. J. Nicholson, treasurer.

Summer meetings were discussed and one of the group's fine project, the annual picnic for men at the Veterans' Hospital in Chillicothe, was scheduled for them in June of this year.

The various committees for Achievement Day made reports on their progress, Mrs. Warren Harbage, general chairman, Mrs. Eugene Wilson for program, Mrs. Ross McCarty, Jr., and Mrs. Edwin Vallery, decorations, Mrs. Lawrence Brown, exhibits and Mrs. Robert Kennedy, registrations.

Mrs. Cornwell who is chairman of the ticket and luncheon committee, gave tickets out so that reservations may be turned in by the next council meeting.
