From a London Paper, March 10.

When Dr. Musgrave appeared before a certain society, the president informed him that he need only answer to such questions as he liked, and that no person had a right to compel him to make any answers which were repugnant to his feelings. The Dr. with clearness and firmness answered, he came there with intention to declare all he knew; and spoke much to this purport: That before the peace of Versailles was concluded, the sum of 500,000l. was paid to the mistresses of an unpopular Lord; 250,000l. to Lord Bute, and 250,000l. to Mr. Fox; that these sums were remitted from a certain banker in Paris, of which Lord Halifax knew.
