BARROWS CHOSEN HEAD OF SONS OF VETERANS

Lieutenant Governor Is Named Commander-in-Chief of Organization.

Indianapolis, Sept. 25.--Pelham A. Barrows, lieutenant governor of Nebraska, was the unanimous choice of the Sons of Veterans, auxiliary to the Grand Army of the Republic, for office of commander-in-chief, Friday afternoon.

Mr. Barrows, better known as "Pell," is a pioneer newspaper man. He was candidate at the last annual encampment and in that campaign won the western delegations who came to the 1920 encampment pledged to his support. He is one of the organizers of the Nebraska branch and is a past state commander.
