County Refuses Tax Deed Property Sale at Low Price

Supervisors Monday refused to approve sale of tax delinquent property in El Centro's industrial district for $25 an acre on the grounds that it was worth $50 an acre plus back taxes.

The offer to purchase 30 acres in northeast El Centro came from the Central Fibre corporation.

Three taxing agencies, El Centro, the irrigation district, and the county, were included in the transaction.
