Services at St James A M E Church beginning with the Sunday Church School of which Bro. C. S. Hall is superintendent promises to be one whose memory will linger long in the minds of the worshippers.
The venerable and outstanding Veteran pulpiteer and maker of men Dr. E. J. Jackson, who retired from the itinerant ministry at the last session of the South Fla. Annual Conference will be the guest speaker at the 11:00 AM worship hour.
Mrs. Fannie Scott Simpson, Pres. of the ACE League is making an urgent appeal to all young people of the church to be present at 5:30 p.m. to share in the services of that hour.
During the Evening Vesper Service at 7:00 p.m. The Rev. Dr. Timothy Barnes, an old time Miamian and pastor of one of the Historic Baptist Churches in Richmond, Va., will be the guest speaker.
In preparation for the Ninth Annual Women's Day celebration which culminates April 14, 1957, the women of St. James and community under the direction of Mrs. Bessie Smith, Chairman, and Mrs. Gertrude Smith Co-Chairman, are working ardently to make this occasion the greatest in the annals of Women Days.
The Rev. J. E. Brown and congregation of the New Hope Baptist church will worship with us in an after Service Sunday night March 31, 1957 at 8:45 p.m.
The ladies under the direction of Mrs. Bessie Smith in the Court of Roses who are attempting to gain highest honors are as follows: Madames, Mary Smiley, Classie Porter, Martha Nicholson, Margery Reynolds, Portia Bannister, Annie D. Brown, Catherine Peterson, Mae Tucker, Claudia Cooper, Melsie Burroughs, Christine Johnson, Margaret Smith, R. Scott, Georgia Harris, Marian Martin, Rosa Robinson, Opal King, Ludella Johnson, Gladys Nathan, Emma Williams, Magdalene Johnson, Lucille Chavis, Cathleen McKenzie, Bertha Simpkins, Amanda Cox, Livion Hak, Ethe Leona Pace, Tobias Hamilton, Louise Woods, Bobbie Davis, Josephine Stovall, Henrietta R, Jackie Herring, Beodis Travis, Eura Williams, Mozell Turner.
Members and friends are reminded of the Bazaar which will be held in Hall, March 27, 28 and 29, 1957.
