Full Text

The mad dog turned out to have been a poisoned dog. The people who were excited and wanted the dog shot were mistaken in their diagnosis of the condition of the animal. Someone had given him poison and he was under the influence of that when his suffering made it appear that he was mad. However the suggestion made by this paper that all dogs must be muzzled would have been all right in this case for if the dog had been treated in that manner he would not have been poisoned. Muzzles are the thing and council should pass an ordinance calling for them to be used.
