Letter from D. H. Bauman corrects Freeman-Journal's erroneous report of Mr. Foran's resignation as Democratic committee chairman, clarifying J. E. Adams holds the role since March and supports Cox-Roosevelt. Editors acknowledge error but note Foran's opposition to Cox and League of Nations.

"DEMO" COMMITTEE
Foran did not Resign.—J. E. Adams is Chairman of Committee.
(From Friday's Daily.)
Editors Freeman-Journal
Correcting statements in the columns of the Freeman-Journal is not exactly a pleasing occupation. However, information in which there is no truth whatsoever, as appeared in last evening's issue, calls for a correction, and in justice to the present chairman of the Hamilton County Democratic Central Committee, J. E. Adams, permit me to state that the chairman of that organization has not resigned, and is certainly an enthusiastic Cox and Roosevelt supporter.
As stated in the last evening's issue you have Mr. Foran resigning from an office which he has not held for many months. Mr. Foran was not re-elected to the chairmanship of the county central committee. The committee elected Mr. Adams and since last March he has been serving in that capacity.
Surely, even from a political standpoint, there can be no satisfaction to the Freeman-Journal to make misrepresentations of this nature, and I am at a loss to know where you gained your information.
D. H. Bauman.
The Freeman-Journal got its information from a prominent and reliable Williams gentleman, a close friend of Mr. Foran. This friend evidently had forgotten that Mr. Foran, who was chairman of the Democratic County Central committee last year, was succeeded by Mr. Adams last spring—a fact which had also slipped the memory of the Freeman-Journal, else it would not have committed this blunder.
We phoned Mr. Bauman, secretary of the committee, in regard to this matter, yesterday afternoon, both at the postoffice, and his home, but he was out of the city and could not be reached.
However, what the Freeman-Journal said about the political status of Mr. Foran, that he had no use for Cox and Wilson's League of Nations, is true.
This is admitted by Mr. Bauman himself.
But to state that Mr. Foran had resigned an office which he did not hold is an egregious blunder and one that the Freeman-Journal sincerely regrets.

Main Argument
mr. foran did not resign as chairman of the hamilton county democratic central committee because he has not held that position for many months; j. e. adams has been the chairman since last march and is an enthusiastic supporter of cox and roosevelt.
