Full Text
From the Rochester Bulletin. Col. Thompson's nomination will be well received throughout the State, and he will unite every reconcilable element in the Democratic party. In nominating him the Convention recognized a well founded and popular demand for a "new man." Office seeking may be all right in itself, but it is sometimes destructive of the chances of the candidate for success. In almost every case the Convention threw the active candidates off the track and nominated men who may have been aspiring, but not so much. The entire State ticket is a good one, and will give very general satisfaction.
