PETERSBURG, May 22.

On the 13th inst. at Norfolk, before the Worshipful Court of Justices, was examined Archibald Carroll, late commander of the Ship Mary-Anne. He was charged with the murder of John M'Gill, one of the two unfortunate seamen, whose bodies were found some days before. From the testimony given upon the examination, the Court adjudged to remand him to prison--since which, we hear, he has been conducted to Richmond; and that from circumstances, it appears probable he perpetrated the horrid act on the other body which was found.
