Full Text

The bill for admitting all British goods, belonging to American citizens, or actually contracted previous to the issuing of the president's proclamation of November 2, 1810 was under consideration of the house of representatives yesterday the day before, and is now postponed to Monday week. A motion to postpone the subject by war negatived by a majority of ten. Due, however, to our mercantile friends others interested, to intimate to them that it is by no means decisive in favour of it and to caution them against being too sanguine in their expectations of its passage. Should any change take place in the precarious tenure of our--we believe its passage certain and perhaps ultimately another House of Congress.
