Harlem Soldier Qualifies as Carbine Expert
Army Lt. Roger L. Cronk, son of Mr. and Mrs. James R. Cronk of Route 1, Harlem, recently qualified as an expert in firing the carbine while serving with the Seventh U. S. Army Quartermaster Direct Support Company in Kaiserslautern, Germany.
A platoon leader in the Company, Lt. Cronk entered the Army in July of 1958 and arrived in Europe last December.
The 22-year-old officer is a 1954 graduate of Harlem high school and a 1958 graduate of Montana State College in Bozeman where he was a member of Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity and Scabbard and Blade Society.
