ASHTON.

A very well attended meeting of the Ashton and Berkeley Ladies' Land League was held in St. Joseph's Hall on Feb. 6th. This society is in a very flourishing condition, and new members are being enrolled at every meeting, nine joining on Sunday last. One of the members alluded briefly but earnestly to the state of affairs in Ireland, and the President endeavored to impress upon each one the necessity of doing the very best. On January 26th they remitted $100 to Miss Parnell for transmission to Ireland. This lady speaks very laudably of the League, and I believe the praise is well merited, for each and every member is working zealously for success.
