A Suit Before the Indiana Court With the Same Defendant and Plaintiff.
Indianapolis, June 13. - An unusual and rather sensational incident interrupted the hearing of a case in the Supreme Court of Indiana this morning. It was a case involving the right of foreign capital to export natural gas of this State to Illinois. The Chicago Gas Trust is said to be behind the defendants. Arguments were to be heard this morning, but when the court opened affidavits were submitted alleging that the plaintiff had been procured by the defendant company to bring suit; that the attorneys were all hired by the defendant, and the whole thing was a fraud upon the judiciary of the State. The counsel indignantly repelled the allegations, and the justices referred the matter in chancery for information.
