Will be Given Rousing Send Off on Departure for Camp Lewis, American Lake, Washington
According to orders received from headquarters 65 White Pine county boys will leave for Camp Lewis at American Lake, Washington next Friday morning, and it is needless to say they will be given a rousing send off. The routing of the party is as follow:
Leave Ely 7 am Sept. 21 over Nevada Northern. Arrive at Sacramento 5:50 am Sept. 22 over Southern Pacific.
Leave Sacramento over the Southern Pacific 3:45 pm Sept. 22 and arrive at Portland 10:15 pm Sept. 23.

All will be required to report to the local board at 2 o'clock on the afternoon of Thursday, Sept. 20 when arrangements for their transportation and other things will be made.
After reporting on Thursday afternoon the men will be in the military service of the United States and subject to military law. Failure to report or tardiness are grave military offenses punishable by court martial. After reporting the men will be held under the orders of the local board until the time of their departure, but those living within one hour's travel of the office of the local board at Ely will be permitted to eat and sleep at home provided they make application at once upon a form which is provided for the purpose.
While 65 men will be called out next Friday morning, only 58 of that number have as yet been certified to the local board, but the remaining seven names will no doubt be certified within the next two days.
