Note.—The undersigned, the principal secretary of state of his Britannic majesty for foreign affairs has received from his royal highness the prince regent, orders to inform prince Talleyrand, and through him his most christian majesty, that so soon as the news was received in England that Bonaparte had surrendered himself to the naval forces of Great Britain; his royal highness immediately gave orders to cause all hostilities on the coast of France to cease.
The undersigned, communicates with the greatest pleasure to his royal highness prince Talleyrand, the copy of the orders given on this subject, and seizes this occasion to renew to him the assurances of his distinguished consideration.
