CHICAGO. August 21.--J. O. Bragman, editor of the Democrat, was arrested this morning for robbing the Post Office drawer of money. He waived an examination.

BOSTON. August 21. -It is reported that Blanchard, Sherman & Co., have suspended in consequence of the failure of Bates & Co.

NEW YORK, Aug. 22.--Sales of Cotton to-day 750 bales and firm. Flour duller. Wheat heavy. Corn 85a90c. Pork, Whisky and Bacon firm.; Lard 16c.; Rice 5c.; muscovado Sugar 8a10c.

The steamer Fulton sailed for Havre to-day.
