A total of 219 pupils of Wanda and
eight district schools of Redwood
county were tuberculin tested in the
Christmas Seal tuberculosis survey
conducted last week by Dr. Kathleen
Jordan. This was 71 per cent of the
total enrollment. of the nine schools.
Of the group tested approximately
11 per cent reacted postively, which
means that these pupils have been
exposed to tuberculosis sufficiently to
receive germs into their bodies and
should be x-rayed to determine
whether or not any damage has been
done to their lungs. Eighty-nine per-
cent of the pupils reacted negatively.

In district 32 100 per cent of the
enrollment returned consent slips
signed by parents. District eight
ranked next with 94 per cent of the
pupils taking the test. Clements was
third with 93 per cent. Other schools
included were districts 57, 71, 94, 7,
105 and Wanda.
