Full Text

[Philadelphia, Jan. 12.

The Price Current in Thursday's paper, referred to in the foregoing, was translated from a French Gazette, entitled Le Patriote Francois, printed at Paris, October 10, 1791—It is there quoted as an extract of a “letter from James Anthony Creuze-Lalouche, one of the members of the National Assembly, to the municipality and inhabitants of the district of Vienne, third edition, corrected and enlarged by the author.” This is the only authority in the Editor's power for the authenticity of the Price Current. It was translated indiscriminately among other French extracts for the National Gazette, and not particularly addressed to the Editor for publication.]
