President Goes On
Overnight Cruise

WASHINGTON, May 18-(AP) President Roosevelt set out by motor before noon today for the Marine Base at Quantico, Va., to board the government yacht Sequoia for an over-night cruise.

He hoped to get in some fishing late today off Point Lookout and Solomon's Island.

The president took with him the rough draft of his veto message on the bonus bill which he framed yesterday and last night. He plans to deliver it in person to congress early next week.

Mr. Roosevelt planned to go around the Virginia capes tonight and return by the Chesapeake Bay, arriving at Annapolis, Maryland, tomorrow night.

The Sequoia will be left at Annapolis, where Mr. Roosevelt is planning to return next Saturday to witness the Harvard-Navy crews races in which his son, Franklin, Jr., will participate.
