"We will remember a congressman who voted against OPA at the polls in November," states Walter P. Reuther before a rally to save OPA sponsored by the American Veterans Committee and the UAW-CIO in Detroit. Opposite Brother Reuther is Canada Lee, well known Negro actor who urged the listeners to pour the heat on their Senators to undo the mistakes made by the House of Representatives.

R. J. Thomas denounces some Michigan congressmen for their OPA stand, many of whom, he declared, "don't give a damn about what the people think, but listen to the National Association of Manufacturers cracking the whip." He was addressing a Town Hall meeting conducted by the Educational Director of Local 600, Edgar Lee, sitting on his left. The rally was also addressed by President Reuther and Sam Sage of the Wayne County CIO Council.
