OMAHA, May 21.—Captain Beck, Indian agent at the Omaha reservation, where trouble was recently experienced in evicting settlers, brands as false reports to the effect that he has ordered arms for his Indian police. He asserts that all the ball shells at the agency to his knowledge are locked in his desk and he does not propose to give the police loaded rifles with which to shoot white men. All is quiet on the reservation, and no further efforts at eviction will be made at present. When it is resumed settlers are expected to make new leases or be dispossessed in the ordinary manner by constables.
