Clayville Private Arrives In Japan
Pvt. Leon Wood, Clayville, recently arrived in Japan for duty on the staff of the Army's 343rd General Hospital, as a corpsman.
The hospital cares for the more seriously wounded UN casualties from Korea as well as soldiers stationed in Japan.
Pvt. Wood, a former employee of the Joe Truch Co., of Monlev, entered the army in July, 1952, and was stationed at Camp Pickett, before his overseas assignment.
His mother, Mrs. Eva Woods, lives in Philadelphia.
