Killed in Runaway.

Danbury, Aug. 22. - Hawley Northrop aged twenty-four, a well known young farmer of Ridgefield, while driving from Brewster, N. Y., to his home yesterday was killed in a runaway accident. The horses started to run away while descending a hill near Ridgefield and after going some little distance the pole of the wagon broke and the portion remaining attached to the wagon stuck in the ground and brought the wagon to a stop so suddenly that the young man was thrown out and struck on his head. He was found unconscious and taken to his home, where he soon afterwards died.
