Mr. Hammond complains, that having received an order to send his Gazette to the "University of Virginia," and sending it accordingly, addressed to the Post Office at "Charlottesville," he received a cavalier notice from M. Winn, P. M. at Charlottesville, to send no more papers there. He thinks this a small matter for the University of Virginia, to be guilty of,

Although the University is a short distance from Charlottesville, it has a Post Office of its own; and this no doubt is the explanation of the occurrence, and the defence of the University.—
