NEW YORK, June 18 (INS)-- For the second time since World War Two, the American woman is in for a dose of chemise fever.

This Fall, ladies are expected to wear chemises under both dress and sports clothes.

Lingerie makers hope the return to these one-piece undergarments will make a bigger hit in '51 than it did several seasons ago when it was dragged into the fashion picture in the wake of the not-too-popular "back-to-the-'20's" look.

Says experts: "Chemises will become practical underfittings for wear with sheers, under slim suits, and even under slacks."

They point to the chemise as practical because it's a combination of camisole top and pantie. Gives complete freedom of movement plus a slim line.
